En mai 2004, la 231 K 8 a fait deux allers-retour en une semaine entre Paris et Calais pour le compte d'un affrêteur anglais. On le voit ici à Caffiers en direction de Calais avec sa plaque Flêche d'Or. La locomotive connait bien cette ligne pour l'avoir fréquentée pendant sa carrière commerciale.
